JESUS GROWS WEEK TO WEEK

The feast of the Annunciation of the Lord is celebrated this year on Monday, April 8th.  We remember the angel Gabriel appearing to Mary, a virgin and conceived without sin, and announcing that she will be the mother of Jesus, our Savior.  In honor of this feast day and to remember and pray for all mothers and babies, we will weekly track until Christmas Day (9 months) the growth of Jesus in Mary’s womb.

Week 4-

At 4 weeks Baby Jesus is a ball of cells smaller than a poppy seed.

But, the ball of cells is already splitting into the embryo and placenta, and, the neural tube, the building block of the spine, brain and backbone, is already formed. Wow!

Dear God, help keep us in awe and never forget this blessing of the wonderful miracle of life.

As you might be aware the Archdiocese of Baltimore is currently in a Chapter 11 Reorganization Process. There are some steps that need to be completed to fulfill court ordered requirements. One of those steps is for all parishes and schools to make public that a final date has been set to file a claim. Please see the below notice for all the information. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we share this information and process. We know this announcement is a reminder of a tragic time and we pray for the victim-survivors as they continue to heal.
