The OLM Homebound ministry would like to assist parishioners who cannot attend mass due to lack of transportation. If you know of any person who is unable to get to mass due to an inability to drive, or lack of a vehicle, please contact the office at 301-777-1750. Also, if you or anyone you know would like to provide transportation to and from mass, we are recruiting insured drivers, age 21 or older, with a clean driving record. Please contact the office if you are interested in this ministry.
Confined at home or in a nursing home? Please call 301-777-1750 so that the Sacraments may be brought and/or a visit arranged.
If you are in the hospital be sure that your religion is listed as Catholic and a Hospital Eucharistic Minister will visit you every day. We have a group of dedicated Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion who visit the hospital to distribute communion as well as Fr. Eric Gauchat, OFM Cap. who is our Catholic Health Care Chaplain. If you have a health emergency and you would like to speak to a priest call Fr. Eric at 301-707-9995.
Children’s Clothing Room
The Parish Children’s Clothing Room thanks all who have been donating clothing. The parents are very appreciative. We have been running short on infant clothing. Also, we accept items such as cribs, strollers, etc. There is always a need for blankets and bed linens, in all sizes. NO adult clothing and no summer wear. The clothing room is at St. Mary Church and open each Wednesday from 9:00 – 11:00 am.

OLM Youth Ministry
We have a very involved Youth Ministry at OLM. The mission of the Youth Ministry and Youth Center is to provide a safe, non-judgmental learning environment that enhances the self-respect and personal dignity for youth, age’s middle school through high school. Our goal is to nurture the intellectual, spiritual, physical and social development through positive education experiences that will increase youths’ desire to ‘make the right choice. We are a group that exists for 3 three reasons: Fun, Service, and the discovery of our Catholic Identity!
